My Approach

As a counselor, my approach is to meet you exactly where you are in your journey. You may be facing challenges like anxiety, depression, or relationship struggles, or perhaps you're seeking to strengthen your emotional well-being and build healthier coping skills. Whatever brings you here, I would be honored to support you in a genuine, caring environment focused on your growth and healing.

My ultimate mission is to help alleviate emotional pain and suffering while guiding individuals toward a deeper connection with Christ. I offer online counseling grounded from a Christian perspective, integrating faith-based principles with therapeutic practices. This approach seeks to uncover the root causes of challenges, promote healing, foster wholeness, and provide encouragement along the way.

What is a Pastoral Counselor?

Pastoral counselors are clergy members who have received graduate training in both religious studies and behavioral science.  Our approach to counseling integrates psychology and theology disciplines, applying a non-secular counseling model.

It is important to note that we are not state-licensed counselors. Rather, we are licensed as clergy and are governed by state Clergy Exemption laws.  These laws enforce strict ethical standards that uphold an individual's right to be free from religious interference.  While the state regulates secular counselors, we believe that the Church is responsible for establishing standards and overseeing ministers who dedicate their lives to ministry, including counseling.  The National Christian Counseling Association (N.C.C.A) requires all members licensed by its Licensing Board of Examiners to be credentialed ministers.
